VT: Viral Tuesday, the good, the bad and the not so ugly in virals every Tuesday since Dec 2009.
1. Google Parisian Love
This is an incredibly simple advert for Google Search that debuted back in November. it was also screened during the Superbowl last Sunday, and since then it’s online popularity has exploded pushing it into number one on the Viral Video Chart. It’s a short and sweet tale of love told through Google search that shows just how useful and important the search engine is to our lives. The ad was created by first time Google copywriter Tristian Smith and was part of a series released online last year. You can see the rest of the virals here. There’s even a Tiger Woods parody of this doing the rounds. The TV screening of the ad marks another step in Googles slow introduction of traditional forms of communication into the marketing mix. Late last year the Google owned Youtube also ran a series of newspaper and out of home advertisements promoting the launch of the 4OD service on the video sharing website.
2. IPad Keynote Speech in 180 seconds
The recent keynote speech from Apple head honcho’s reduced down to 180 seconds. It’s all the content removed from the speech except all the superlative’s and there are a lot of those.
3. Sarah Palin Cheat Notes
Since she left her role as Governor of Alaska and joined Fox News, I can’t help but feel that Sarah Palin is on a PR and publicity tour to reposition herself as a knowledgable potential presidential candidate in 2012 or 2016. The thoughts of Fox News having such a connection with a serving US president, especially one who has shown herself to be reactionary and short sighted, is really quiet frightening. Anyways, in this recent interview Palin is caught reading cheat notes from her hand
4. Google Nexus One
Google have released a series of virals that document the making of the Nexus One. First is the concept and design, as shown below, the rest can be viewed here
5. Vancouver Time Lapse
