Hi,
My name is Luke Abbott, I’m an award winning marketer from Waterford City in Ireland.
I specialise in generating ideas for businesses to grow, to differentiate amongst competitors and to succeed, be it in the online or the offline world. My skills lie in Marketing Strategy, Online Marketing including Social Media, Event Marketing and Guerrilla Marketing.
I set up my first company at the age of 14 renting video games in my parents shop. I sold the business to raise funds to attend college. I first attended the National Film School at IADT in Dun Laoghaire specialising as a Film Producer and working on films that have been screened across the world at festivals and on TV. I continued working in music and the arts for ten years, working as a marketing consultant for a diverse range of companies who’s focus was the key 18 – 35 demographic. My experience also extends into the entertainment, retail and drinks sectors in Ireland, the UK and South America.
I also hold a BA Hons in Marketing, MBS in Marketing and an MMII Grad from the Marketing Institute of Ireland. Currently I am studying for a PhD in Marketing, specifically researching the area of social media in marketing.
