“When I say the word ‘Marketing’ what do you think of?”
The reply; ‘advertising and making people buy stuff they don’t need’.
‘What’s the first thing that gets cut in a recession? Marketing’ – or so the saying goes. Just what is Marketing? because it’s a hell of a lot more than advertising (and selling), and unethical behaviour is engaged by unethical people, no matter what industry they may be in; banking, sport, politics, entertainment, the gardai, and so on.
